2.Kimii-dera TempleKimii-dera Temple is the abbreviation of "Kimii-san Kongouhou-ji Gokoku-in". In the precincts, there are three well water of "Kisshou sui", "Youryuu sui", and "Shoujou sui" which have been selected as the best hundred waters and have the origin of the name of Kimii-dera Temple. This is a famous temple built in Nara era, whose "Sakuramon", "Shourou", and "Tahouto" are national important cultural assets. The construction of the shrine pavilions is called as "Gongen-zukuri". This shrine is also called as "Kansai Nikko" with full-colored and ingenious engravings of master craftsman Hidari Jingoro, and vivid paintings of Kano school and Tosa school. It is the third amulet-issuing office of Westland 33 places with the present main hall is said to be the largest scale among them. The sect enjoyed its influence as one of the biggest military gang with more than 10,000 armed priests called as "Negoroshu" in the late Muromachi era. "Daitou", a national treasure, "Taishi-do", an important cultural asset, the garden of main lodging, a national scenic beauty preserve the traces of the old days when they were built. It was originated in 370, when Niutsuhime, a younger sister of Goddess of the Sun, was enshrined. Also, Koya-daijin, who is said to have lead Kukai to Koya is enshrined. Four pavilions and the tower gate are designated as important cultural assets of Japan.
