The water of the Onsen is 100% pure which is nonpercolated and noncirculated. It is said that soaking in the two-adult-sized small bathtub in couple makes a healthy baby. It changes its color seven times a day, and is called as a magical Onsen. The type of Onsen is sodium bicarbonate hydrosulfuric spring, effective for neuralgia and skin disease. The type of Onsen is sodium bicarbonate, and effective for rheumatic disease and chronic gastroenteric disorder. "Kawayu-Onsen" is known as a unique Onsen where you fill the river water into the 73 degrees of water to make original open-air bath. During the period from November to February, a huge open-air bath is made there by backing up the river stream. The name is derived from the fact that 1,000 people can soak into it at a time.
